There is nothing you can put on the outside of your hair that is going to make your hair grow faster. There are some coating products that will make your hair slightly heavier and feel thicker, but they also may have unpleasant side-effects.

But there are NO shampoos that grow the hair-there are medicated shampoos that prevent hair loss but many of those (Rogaine) have to be used on a continued basis or you will get the same result. Can I Use Hair Loss Shampoo On Just Thin Hair?
I have bought several sachets of hair loss shampoo called ';Propoline';
I have hair thinning on just the right side of my head. It gets real knotty and when you towel dry it, it is so thin it doesn't move from that position, like water is a natural gel when i get out of shower.
If i wanted to use this would I just use the shampoo on the one side of my head where there is thinning hair or do I use it all over?

the things that really worked for me was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

Some of them do yes. Also leaving a hat off helps, taking vitamins for the hair and nails works also... but the best shampoo is the Horse hair tail and mane for your hair and can be brought at Wal-Mart for about 6.00 or a little more or less depending on were you live. Also get the conditioner for it makes the hair strong and helps it grow back. A lot of hair loss is due to stress and weakness of the hair. You will notice a difference in about 3 weeks for I know for my hair started coming out due to so many surgeries and using this shampoo really did the trick. So check with your Dr. if your under a lot of stress, and if you have a lot of bald people in your family, it just may be inherited. Oh another thing, go to Sally's beauty supplies and ask them what they have if you or not happy with this idea, they have everything you can think of and I know that someone there can help you.. the things that really worked for me was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

Presciption shampoos have chemicals I don't recommend. Read the lables if it has chemicals such as Minoxidil, or Propecia etc. I wouldn't use them. year ago I suffered from hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.
the things that really worked for me was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

Your teacher is almost right! The company's out there making claims of hair regrowth are NOT widely recognized as being true in the medical field. The prescription drugs and shampoos containing chemicals such as minoxidil and propecia not only haven't proven effective for hair loss, but definitly haven't proven to regrow hair according to independent reseach. Chemicals are always bad when it comes to the human body. There are natural ways to stop hair loss and in some cases actually grow new hair. Vitamins such as E,B,C and minerals like zinc and nettle, and bay are good for hair. Shampoos with Saw Palmetto are an excellent way to stop hair loss and possibly regrow hair. Zenagen seems to have really stopped my hair loss, started to really noticed it about a 6 or 8 weeks into it. Been using it for about 4 months, it's solid stuff, just my 2 cents

anyway year ago my husband suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:
1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;
2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;
3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;
4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice (you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);
5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed (do not use Rogaine - it will not work!)
It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!

I hate call ';Dr. Lisa Minalto'; a liar, but Zenagen has only been around for 4 months (and only commercially available for 2 months), which would make her claim that her husband used it for ';6 Month Use'; impossible. Something tells me ';cough cough'; she may not really be a ';doctor'; but possibly a yahoo answers spam queen? I have no idea if the product works or not, but I do know how to research simple facts like when a product was launched.
Zenagen seems to have really stopped my hair loss, started to really noticed it about a 6 or 8 weeks into it. Been using it for about 4 months, it's solid stuff, just my 2 cents
